Installing STEP 7

Preparing for Installation

The OS Windows 2000/XP should be started before install software.
• You don't need an external storage medium if the installable STEP 7 software is already stored on the hard disk of the PG.
• To install from CD, Please insert the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive of your PC and start to boots.

Begin Installation Program

To install the S7 software, follow as below
1. Insert the CD-ROM and double click ”SETUP.EXE" file.
2. Follow the on-screen step-by-step instructions of the installation program.
The program guides you through all steps of the installation. You can go to the next
step or return to the previous step.

Note: Under installation, the dialog boxes prompt you to make your choice from the
displayed options. The following notes will advice you to quickly and easily find the
correct answers.
